GOST-R, TR Declaration of Conformity
Unlike the GOST-R Certificate, GOST-R Declaration of Conformity cannot be issued to a foreign manufacturer. Only a resident of the Russian Federation may act as a declarant: a legal entity or an individual entrepreneur.
Many types of products should be tested for compliance in the laboratories before we can issue GOST-R Declaration of Conformity. To do this, an applicant shall submit samples of products to the laboratory centres which hols an appropriate accreditation in the fields which cover the tested products. Certification Test Reports serve as evidence that the products conform with the GOST standards and the Russian safety requirements.
GOST-R Declaration of Conformity contains the following details:
- Name of the product;
- OKP codes and HS- codes (for imported products);
- Name of the producer;
- Name of the applicant (a sole trader, a Russian organization), to which a declaration of conformity is issued);
- Contract/invoice for the supply of products (if an applicant is not a manufacturer);
- Test report number or expert opinion number (if they were required to issue the Declaration of Conformity).
