Утверждение типа средств измерения

The pattern approval of a measuring instrument is a decision made by the national service of legal metrology, which certifies that a measuring instrument complies with the established requirements and is fit for intended use in the areas covered by the state metrological control and supervision.

The pattern approval of measuring instruments is a type of state metrological control which is used to ensure the uniformity of measurements at the domestic level. All measuring instruments used in the sphere of state control for measurement uniformity assurance are subject to mandatory approval. During the pattern approval process, accuracy figures, in-use testing interval and measuring instrument calibration procedure for the given pattern are determined. A decision on pattern approval is taken by the Federal Agency on Technical Regulation and Metrology (Rostechregulation) on the basis of positive results of the pattern approval examination.
